Dannielle Thomas is Social Insights’ Chief Operations Officer, responsible for business development, internal operations, and cultural work. As a Southern Black mother raised by a Southern Black mother, Dannielle is passionate about continuing this deep tradition of Black history, activism, and hope. She is particularly skilled at developing creative, responsive solutions, facilitating and holding space, and supporting people to set boundaries and live their truth. Her experiences living in Cape Verde and extensive travel have developed her appreciation for cultural exchange, relationship building, and the labor of multilingual and non-native speakers.

Through her work in children’s advocacy, international development, and justice-centered philanthropy, Dannielle developed vast and global experience in fundraising, program strategy and management, and equity practices within nonprofit and direct service networks. She works in community with organizations focused on liberation, land rights, and solidarity.

Dannielle uses her passion for the power of the arts to vision new possibilities and design innovative systems-change strategies to build toward sustainable movements and change. She speaks Cape Verdean Creole and English. When she’s not working, she’s hosting wine classes, reading Sci-fi/Afrofuturist writing, traveling, and finding joy in her family and community.
